ASF expresses its grave concern over the ongoing military confrontations, particularly the attacks originating from Iran, which are seriously threatening peace and stability in the Middle East.
Under no circumstances can armed attacks against sovereign nations or indiscriminate military actions that endanger civilians be justified. Such use of force only deepens tensions and division, and undermines regional stability as well as the principles of international law and humanitarian norms.
We call upon the international community to act in unity and responsibility to bring about the immediate cessation of all military actions, including the attacks from Iran, and to intensify diplomatic efforts toward a peaceful and prompt resolution. We strongly urge the United Nations, relevant international organizations, and concerned states to fulfill their responsibilities and pursue solutions grounded in the rule of law and mutual respect.
In particular, we express our profound solidarity with the people and governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, and the Sultanate of Oman. We share your concerns and stand with you during this time of uncertainty and difficulty.
